TeraNova DC appoints Sanjay Bhutani as Chief Executive Officer

Platform plans approximately 2 GW+ capacity by 2032

Mumbai, India: TeraNova DC, a dedicated data centre platform in India backed by a global investment firm, has appointed Sanjay Bhutani as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bhutani brings nearly three decades of experience across IT, telecom and digital infrastructure. He has led data centre strategies for multinational organisations, contributed to the development of some of Asia's largest data centres and internet exchanges, and played a leading role in the formation and growth of AdaniConneX, the joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX. He has also contributed to India's telecom and digital infrastructure policy and regulatory ecosystem and was named among the Top 50 Data Economy Influencers in Asia-Pacific.

TeraNova DC is focused on developing and operating hyperscale, AI-ready and sustainable data centre campuses. The platform plans to develop 2 GW+ of capacity across key Indian markets, including Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi NCR and Gujarat, by 2032.

Supporting India's digital and AI growth

India's expanding digital economy is creating sustained demand for infrastructure to store, process and move data securely and efficiently. Data centre capacity in India has grown more than fourfold, from approximately 375 MW in 2020 to around 1.57 GW as of August 2026 and is projected to approach 8 GW by 2030. Building the foundations for long-term success

TeraNova DC's development strategy will centre on strategically located land banks, power-ready sites and scalable campus infrastructure. The company plans to build gigawatt-scale campuses designed for hyperscale cloud, enterprise and high-density AI workloads, with the flexibility to expand as customer requirements evolve.

The company adopts Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), modular construction and prefabricated power and cooling systems to improve quality, consistency and deployment timelines.
